Goal: $1,000.00
Specific Need
Donations made on match day will go into three line items in Wildcat Extension Education Foundation for:
10% - 4-H senior vo-tech scholarship & 4-H volunteer training
30% - Instructional equipment for learning opportunities
60% - Travel scholarships for 4-H judging teams & state record book winners
Our foundation handles fiduciary funds for Wildcat Extension District staff as they are awarded grants to support their programs. Those funds routinely exceed $20,000 a year. Below are a few examples of projects funded from Wildcat Extension District Education Foundation's general fund.
* $255.00 getting 20, 4th grade students CPR certified
* $1,000 for two senior college scholarships for active 4-H members
* $631 for a scantron machine to help our staff run multiple judging contests at the local and state level
* $1,499 for our 4-H judging teams (livestock, livestock skill-a-thon, and meats) to attend state contest
Our foundation strives to improve our reach with youth through a wide variety of avenues! Youth do not have to be in the 4-H program to benefit from our foundation but they do have to be working with a Wildcat Extension District employee. Due to our ties with K-State Extension and Kansas 4-H a lot of our funding does support 4-H youth. Currently, there are 664 youth in the 4-H program in the Wildcat Extension District.
Mission
The Wildcat Extension Education Foundation aims to foster educational and research endeavors, enhance involvement in the Foundation, promote public awareness of the Wildcat Extension District, and provide financial support to the Wildcat Extension District. Our district encompasses Crawford County, Labette County, Montgomery County, and Wilson County. In 2026, we served 12,000 people within our district with educational programming.
Wildcat District Extension programs have a critical impact on local quality of life, youth development, leadership and healthy lives. We will help you structure your gift or endowment so that Extension programs are supported for years to come.
