Specific Need

Donations to Southeast Kansas Respite Services, Inc. (SEKRS) Endowment Fund will help ensure that your family, friends, and neighbors will continue to have the support they need to care for their loved ones at home for as long as possible. For families of individuals with disabilities or special needs, the elderly, or persons with dementia it is especially important to have time away because of the stress that caregiving can have on the health of the caregiver.  Families value respite services because it is often difficult or impossible to find people who are willing and trained and who feel comfortable staying with someone with special needs or the elderly. With other supports provided by SEKRS, such as the Payee and CRSS programs, individuals with disabilities are able to successfully live independently. Without these supports these individuals are often required to live in settings that are more restrictive and more costly.

Mission

Our mission is for individuals across the life span and their families to have access to quality respite services and a variety of other services and supports through collaborative partnerships within communities of Southeast Kansas.
