Goal: $10,678.00
Specific Need
This opportunity to make a donation to PALS that will be matched will increase our endowed fund, and that will mean more income for us in the future. Currently PALS operating budget is funded by donations, fundraisers, adoption fees, a subsidy from the city of Parsons to offset our water and trash, and a grant from the PACF. Our funds pay for the expense of veterinary costs, utilities, supplies, payroll, insurance, taxes, license fees, auto expense, building maintenance and any other incurred expenses. Our volunteers work very hard on fundraising events to offset these expenses.
Mission
The Mission of PALS is to provide a safe, temporary shelter and care for homeless or unwanted animals (cats and dogs) while seeking responsible homes for them.
Profile
The Proud Animal Lovers Shelter (PALS) has operated as a no-kill shelter for unwanted dogs and cats from the Labette County area since January 1, 2010, and we are excited to be celebrating our 11th year as a state-licensed, non-profit, no-kill shelter. We are proud of the love and care we provide our furry friends, of the cleanliness and safety of our facility, and of the efforts of our employees and many volunteers who work so hard every day.
