506 Foundation Endowed Fund for Education

Specific Need

The 506 Foundation would like to establish a fund for all teachers in the 506 school district. This fund would be set up to meet the needs of teachers that iare not established in the school district budget or allowed for, including 11 vocational programs.  Teachers are being more innovative than ever before and we would like to support their ongoing efforts to meet the changing needs of our children.

Mission

The mission of The 506 Foundation is to engage in programs and activities benefiting  the education of the youth in Labette County, Kansas, and to endow funds to enhance the quality of education provided by USD 506.

Profile

We are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in 2003. The goal of The 506 Foundation is to concentrate on building an endowment and serving as repository for memorial and honorary contributions, as well as distributing grants for specific educational projects not ordinarily provided for in the school district budget.

We support scholarships awarded annually to students at Labette County High School who are looking to further pursue education after high school.  Specific scholarships can be established. Please contact us for more information if you are interested in establishing a scholarship.
